Interest     

Our current interests focus on:

1. The role of microglia (an immune cell in the brain) in the neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease.

2. The effect of Parkin gene mutation in dopaminergic neurons exposed to oxidative stress, neurotoxins and inflammation.

3. The function of neuropeptide, urocortin, on neuroprotection, neuronal differentiation of neural stem cells and anti-inflammation.

4. Regulation of neuron-derived exosomes on microglial activation.
